Trincao in Lisbon to sign and coveted Marchesín

Portuguese forward Francisco Trincao traveled to Lisbon this Monday to make the transfer to Sporting official. Goalkeeper Marchesín, from FC Porto, continues to be associated with Turkish clubs.

Sporting: The Barcelona player, who was loaned to English from Wolverhampton last season, was seen having lunch in Lisbon, where he went with the aim of formalizing his bond with the lions. Confronted by TVI/CNN Portugal commenting on the more than likely transfer, Francisco Trincão chose to protect himself. “It’s not the right time, when it is, I’ll talk to you”.

FC Porto: The Argentine Agustín Marchesín is attracting the attention of some Turkish clubs. The goalkeeper lost ground to Portuguese international Diogo Costa and with Mundial2022 at the door he wants to show himself more. The release clause is 40 million euros, but the player’s current market value is around four to five million euros. A possible sale of Marchesín is pending whether Diogo Costa stays at FC Porto or not. Celta de Vigo, América, Lanús and Olympiacos are other teams that sought to know the transfer conditions.

Arouca: The 20-year-old central Rafael Fernandes ended his contract with Sporting and signed permanently with Arouca, having been linked for three seasons. The defender trained at the leões, a club he joined in 2010. Last season, Rafael Fernandes played 16 games for Sporting’s under-23s, three for the B team and two in the UEFA Youth League. The Portuguese under-20 international joins Basso, Nino Galovic, Jerome Opoku and Sema Velázquez in the options for central defence. “I chose Arouca because it was a team that showed interest in me from a very early age”, advanced the centre-back, leaving his wishes for this season: “I want to learn and grow a lot with my colleagues and technical team”.
