Daredevil and the Kingpin should finally meet in an MCU series

Marvel is reportedly planning the rematch between Daredevil and the Kingpin in one of its upcoming series, as one would hope.

After the excellent and faithful series Daredevil of Netflix (and its stop because of Disney-Marvel), the returns of the Kingpin and the Red Devil were as much wanted as feared. Charlie Cox cameo as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home was a very short-lived pleasure which only made it possible to formalize the hero’s entry into the MCU. Ditto for Vincent D’Onofrio returned in a flowered shirt in Hawkeye. Two comebacks expected, but disappointed. Knowing what Marvel was going to do with the two sworn enemies for its MCU was a question that remained unanswered, until the costume designer of the series Echo reveals the outfits of their performers.

It was through an update of her CV that assistant costume designer Stacy Caballero revealed the information, and also the return of an actor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Thus, the series Echoa spin-off from Hawkeye, with the deaf mute heroine Maya Lopez interpreted by Alaqua Cox will welcome, a priori, Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox. A choice that makes sense given the end of the Disney + series on the two archers and which seems to follow the trail of the comics.

The big bald man with a black shirt

The last episode of Hawkeye had for him to bring back Vincent D’Onofrio in the costume of the colossal mobster. Even if the soft version of the mobster was unconvincing, his supposed assassination by Lopez was a good thing sincehe took over a major passage from the comics. Indeed, Marvel seemed to be on the run Parts of a hole of Daredevil. In the comics, this shot blinds the Caïd for a time, causing him to lose his criminal empire which he will have to regain. Will Marvel continue in this direction? Anyway, we want it.

As for the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, will the vigilante be introduced as an active hero for a few years? For now, in the MCU, he’s just a lawyer with exceptional abilities as shown in the scene of No Way Home. But we can also expect a romance between him and Echo, in the same way as in the comics. An idyll that could be shattered by the return of the Caïd and the chaos he would sow behind him.

This would push the two lovers to resume their nocturnal adventures of heroes that they hide from each other, recalling in a certain way this relationship made of secrets that they have in the comics.

marvel: comicsMessy date

Although Marvel has not yet confirmed the information, the presence of the two men in Echo would be so logical that it would be unsurprising. The series currently had nothing for sale. since it is based on a minor character from the comics around which revolves, in its urban period, essentially… Wilson Fisk and Daredevil.

If the vigilante and his worst enemy are not in Echowe can expect Marvel to launch a solo project on the Man Without Fear, and always cross our fingers that Vincent D’Onofrio as the godfather of the New York underworld confronts Spider-Man on the big screen. The series does not yet have a release date, we still have time to make theories.
